Pattern Description: McCall’s M6844. Misses / Miss / Petite Cardigan

Pattern Sizing: Size Y (XSM-SML-MED). I cut a size Medium based on pattern measurements.

Pattern Style: I made VIEW-C.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes, I do. Love it.

Were the instructions easy to follow? Super easy. Pattern states “easy” which it truly is.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? Nothing I dislike about it as I’ve made this twice already.

Fabric Used: Some type of Knit. Like swimsuit type of fabric. Or like a Lycra, Spandex. I purchased it from Fine Fabrics here in Gwinnett GA.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I finished my hem with bias binding tape instead of a normal hem. I don’t like hemming. But it looks great! (in my opinion). Also, for my collar, pattern calls for interfacing. I didn’t use any. The type of fabric I used is strong enough to stand alone (without interfacing) and as you can see in pics, draped just fine.. right?

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I sure would! As a matter of fact, this is my 3rd time making this. I made 2 other peplum cardigan’s before in VIEW-C and in VIEW-D. (See my VIEW D version below).

Conclusion: Overall great fit. LOVE the style and very diverse as we can wear this dressed up, casual, or dressed down. Next time I will make a belt and add hook & eye. Or maybe a button for closure.
