Hello lovely! Mama Bear is back with another fun, quick, and easy Dollar Tree Craft. Making Kiss Mas Tree DIY craft for your desk at work. I shared this inside my private Facebook crafting group and the group members all wanted the instructions. Well it’s just way too much to post in the group. So I decided to add this quick walk-thru tutorial here on my hobby space blog instead.

I started making this DIY Hershey chocolate Kiss-Mas Tree project back in 2015 (inspired craft from mommy blogger Mimi Cute Lips) with my two daughters. I’ve been reading / following her blog for many years, and every year since then girls and I continued making them. This Kiss Mas DIY Craft Tree makes a cuteeee gift for co-workers. I also give them away to neighbors, family members, and small group of friends.

VIDEO: Step-by-step how we put our Hershey’s Kisses Chocolates together (originally recorded in 2015)

Here’s the original video when I recorded us making this back in 2015 below. I will update a new video this week on my YouTube crafting channel (giving you a better glimpse over-my-shoulder) on how I made our Kiss Mas Tree(s).

This year I’ve decided to make them again and give away to my girls school teachers (my 12 year old is in middle school, way too much teachers though. Her middle school have about 6 or 7 periods LOL. And my 9 year old in elementary. So just one teacher at a time.. YES!!) to put in their class room. It’s really cute and unique. At my office I simply put it on my desk and when my clients come in regarding their policy and benefits information they’ll just quickly pop off a chocolate and enjoy the sweetness. Yummy!

All of the items used was purchased from Dollar Tree except for my glue gun. I bought my glue gun (years ago) at Michaels.

Here’s my Glue Gun I purchased (years ago) from Michaels. Mini Glue Gun by ArtMinds brand.

My Glue Gun I purchased year ago from Michaels.

First start by putting taking your hot glue gun and just a small dab of hot glue on the bottom of the Hershey Kisses Chocolate. Do not put to much glue. If you put to much then the glue will spread. Also as you may (or may not) already know working with hot glue dries pretty quick. So you’ll have to move really fast to complete this quick project.

1: Put a dab of glue on the bottom of the cone.

2: In a circular motion (by following the shape of the cone) start from the bottom towards going up to the top of your styrofoam cone, take the Hershey Kisses chocolate with the glue on the bottom, and press very gently to the cone (again starting from the bottom working your way all the way up to the top). If you press-on-to-hard you will smash the candy. Be gentle.

Depending on the size of your styrofoam cone this project can take between 20 minutes to one hour.

MANY HAVE ASKED: “will the chocolate melt due to the hot glue?”

ANSWER: NO! This will not melt. The glue is added to the bottom of the wrapping of the chocolate. So it’s truly safe.

NOTE: I do not recommend using toothpicks. If you decide to use toothpicks then you’ll be piercing a hole inside the chocolate and this can turn into issues with pierced items. Like the chocolate is not pierced when you open the bag. Everything is closed and tightly secured. So please do not put a hole in it with toothpicks. Not a good idea. Glue is safe and best.

WARNING: Keep away from small children. Best age of use is 6 years old+. You are solely responsible for keeping project items safe and secured and use precaution.

Makes a GREAT gift for that special someone if your life. Or make this quick craft for your Secret Santa too.

Well… watcha think? I an excited about giving these away this year to my two daughters’ school teachers. Yay!. Will you give this a try? Please tag me and let me know how yours turned out. I would LOVE to see it.

Enjoy!
